Privacy Notice
Last updated 1 August 2026
The short version: your photograph is measured on your own device and is never sent to us. What reaches our server is a list of proportions — numbers describing the shape of a face, not a face.
We never receive your full photograph. Landmark detection runs entirely inside your browser: the image is read into memory, measured, and discarded. One optional exception, controlled by a checkbox before you upload: a small cropped portrait bearing the analysis markings can be kept, solely so it appears in your PDF report. Untick the box and no image of any kind reaches us.
What we collect
- Your marked portrait (optional). If you tick the box, a small annotated crop of your face is stored with your reading so your PDF can include it. Ask us to erase your reading and it is deleted with everything else.
- Facial measurements. Twenty-three proportions — ratios such as the width of the jaw against the width of the cheekbones — reduced to a short list of integers. These cannot be turned back into an image or used to recognise you.
- An anonymous identifier. A random string your browser generates and stores. It is how we return your reading to you when you come back. It is not linked to your name, email address or phone number, because we do not ask for any of them.
- Payment records. If you buy a reading, our payment provider (Razorpay Software Private Limited) processes the transaction. We receive a payment reference and the fact that it succeeded. We never see your card number, UPI ID or bank details.
What we deliberately do not collect
- Your full photograph — never uploaded, never stored, no exceptions. (The optional marked crop above is the only image we can ever hold, and only because you ticked the box.)
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address.
- Your complexion or skin tone. These are excluded from every measurement we take, deliberately and permanently. The classical texts this reading draws on contain judgements about fairness of complexion; none of them reach our software.
- Any special or sensitive category of personal data — health, biometric identification, religion, caste, or anything comparable.
Why we process it
Solely to produce and re-serve the reading you asked for, and to take payment if you choose to buy the full one. We do not profile you, sell data, or share it with advertisers. We do not use your measurements to train anything.
Your consent
Nothing is processed until you tick the three boxes before uploading. You confirm there that the photograph is yours or that you have the explicit permission of the person shown. Please do not upload a photograph of someone who has not agreed to it. If you believe a photograph of you has been used without permission, write to us and we will delete the associated reading.
You may withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it: use the contact address below and we will erase your reading and the measurements behind it.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, erase it, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to the address below and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
How long we keep it
Your reading and its measurements are kept while your reading remains available to you, so that returning to this site shows you the same reading rather than a new one. Ask us to erase them and we will, without condition. Unpaid readings are deleted automatically after twelve months of no access.
Where it is kept
On servers located in India, operated on our behalf by Hostinger. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay under their own privacy terms.
Children
This service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly process the data of children.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will update the date above. Readings already issued remain governed by the terms in force when they were made.
