Mole Near Eye Meaning

The mole under the eye has the saddest reputation in the whole catalogue of Indian mole lore: the tears mole, said to mark a life of weeping. It is worth saying at the outset that this is the folk telling at its most theatrical. The eyes hold a higher rank in Sāmudrika Śāstra than any spot near them — the tradition treats them as the one feature that cannot lie — and the classical reading of the eye region runs on very different rails from the folklore about tils beside it.
What does a mole under the eye mean?
The under-eye til is read in the folk telling as sensitivity: a person who feels everything, weeps easily, gives too much in love. The harder versions predict sorrow through the very people most loved. Gentler tellings turn the same mark into depth of feeling and artistic temperament. Placement matters — directly below the eye carries the emotional reading, while lower down on the cheekbone it fades into ordinary cheek lore. The tellings also distinguish left from right in the usual gendered way, the left under-eye til reading softer for women in most versions.
Mole at the corner of the eye
The outer corner, towards the temple, is the marriage territory of the folk scheme — near enough to the kalatra seat, the seat of the spouse, for tils there to be read on that theme. A mole at the outer corner is told as attractiveness and attention from the opposite sex, with the cautionary strand warning of complications invited by the same attention. The inner corner, beside the nose bridge, gets a smaller file: some tellings read it towards children and family feeling.
Eyelid moles are told as ambition on the upper lid and domestic friction on the lower, though even mole-friendly tellers admit lid moles are hard to see and harder to agree on. A reading that depends on a mark nobody can locate twice in a row is telling you how much weight to give it.

The tears mole, in particular, deserves scepticism. A dark spot under the eye predicts nothing that the eye above it has not already said more plainly, and said in a form anyone can verify.
